The 39-Brookline trolley car passes its last stop at the end of the line. Now its around The Loop and back up the Boulevard towards downtown. The Brookline Trolley made its last run in September, 1966. The land visible in this picture is now a sloping hillside that leads to McGibbeny Field in Brookline Park. Back then, it sat at the edge of a huge wooded ravine that seperated Brookline Boulevard from the Community Center.
