Loreto Wins Diocesan Championship
The team from Our Lady of Loreto
School in Brookline won the diocesan sixth grade girls basketball
championship with a 37-25 victory over St. Barts, Penn
Hills.
It was a hard fought victory as
Loreto fell behind 13-4 at the quarter and were still losing 17-15 at the
half.
Loreto took control of the game in
the second half as the defense held St. Barts to eight points while they
scored 22 points. Loreto showed a lot of character and poise in coming
