This is a photo of the Our Lady of Loreto Men's Softball Team. I do not know when these teams in the Church League began playing, or when the Church League ended, but I vividly remember my own father, Jerry Burton, taking me to Moore Park around 1970 when he played for the Resurrection team. As far as the players on the Ressi team, I can only remember Eddie Schumacher playing shortstop, and Paul "Jumbo" Wheeler and Father Terza being members of the team. Most of the time I was running around the park acting like a typical eight year old. I do, however, remember watching Dad play in the outfield in Ressi's green pinstripe uniforms.
