Brookline
Elementary School - 1929
Adding a New Addition
|
The population explosion in Brookline caused Brookline Elementary School to become so overcrowded that classes were held part-time in 1928. The Board of Education made another addition to the Brookline building in 1929 at a cost of $106,000. At this time, the auditorium was rebuilt and a kindergarten, two gymnasiums and a cooking room were added. The photos here show the construction of that new addition. * Photos provided by Tom Castriodale * |
