Brookline Elementary School on Dedication Day, 1909. Brookline Elementary was built to ease the overcrowding at West Liberty School, which was the Brookline area's first public school. In 1999, there was a celebration marking the 90th anniversary of the opening of the school, and I suppose there will be quite a bash in 2009, when the elementary institution marks its 100th birthday.
