Doug Brendel shows off his winning form ??? by taking a flying leap over the net at the newly built tennis courts at the Brookline Recreation Center. It was the Summer of 1982, and the two courts were among many park improvements that year. The courts were heavily used for a few years, but unstable ground caused cracks that were eventually deemed unrepairable. In 2001 the courts were replaced by a T-Ball field.
