Here was a familiar site during the spring, summer, and fall of 1975. The City cleaning trucks sprayed down Brookline Boulevard on a daily basis to keep the dirt from thousands of dump trucks from driving the local residents crazy! I think most folks went crazy anyway, but the streets were kept clean.
