West Liberty Avenue - 1912

A home on West Liberty Avenue in the top photo and a store, possibly a bakery, in the photo below, both taken in 1912. I've been unable to determine exactly where these photos were taken but my best guess is that this is between Brookline Boulevard and Pioneer Avenue, near the city limit, looking towards where St. Pius Parish is now located on the hillside above.

Finally, a shot of a trolley making its way up West Liberty Avenue towards Brookside Avenue, then on to Cape May. It is heading up the straightaway where the PAT buses now enter West Liberty. The ramp would be down below in the background, but that was still years away at this time. The roadway would be undergoing some major upgrades soon, with a widening of the roadbed and trolley service improvements scheduled for 1915.
