The 1972 Little League All-Stars featured 11 year old slugger Eddie Beveridge, whose towering blasts have been the talk of legend for years. Eddie may have hit the longest shots, but he did not hit the most homers in a season. That honor belongs to Tim "Crazy Legs" Schumacher, also pictured, who smacked an incredible 23 homers.

One last piece of All-Star trivia: This Brookline team was runner-up in the 32-team Robinson Township Lions Invitation Tournament, the best finish for a Brookline team up to that point, to be surpassed only by the championship team of 1979.
