Here are some photos taken back in 1948 when the Brookline Memorial Community Center Association held its annual carnival on the property situated between 1033 and 1049 Brookline Boulevard, near DeBor Funeral Home. Today this property boasts an apartment home and a professional building.

The 1936 Graham (possibly a 1936 Chevy) parked in from of the McGaffin home was owned by long-time Brookline resident Mr. James J. McGaffin. The young fellow in the bottom photo is Tommy McGaffin, who went on to work with his father in the construction business. One of Tom's projects in this area was the building of the Brookline Recreation Center in 1970.
