Exposition Hall

Exposition
 Hall

One of the oldest buildings at the Point was the old Exposition Hall, similar to today's Convention Center. The building was along the Allegheny riverfront next to the Pensylvania RR Freight Yards. Once the site of frequent civic and cultural gatherings, like the Pittsburgh Exposition, over time the hall fell into disrepair and was used as warehouse space. The old landmark was razed in the 1950s to make room for Point State Park.
