The Cathedral of Learning

The Cathedral
 of Learning

The Cathedral of Learning is located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Opened in 1928, the Cathedral is an architectural masterpiece. The first couple floors are built in a truly gothic style and the lobby is a marvel to see. Around the outer first floor are several ethnic classrooms, like the Greek and the Russian rooms. These classrooms are designed in the cultural fashion of the ethnic group represented and they are a real marvel to behold. The University grounds are dotted with several old historic buildings, like Soldiers and Sailors Hall, but the Cathedral towers above them all, both literally and figuratively.
